Robots help children learn about safety

KFV in Austria is using robots to help children learn about safety. The new KFV Safety & Robotics children's workshops allow children aged between 7 and 9 to gain insights into important safety topics through play and robots.
As part of the course, children are read a story that encourages them to deal with typical everyday situations, such as cycling in traffic or playing at the playground, in different ways and to look at them critically. Then, using robots built and developed by the children, plus some useful behavioural tips and the right protective equipment, the children are encouraged to discover for themselves how dangerous situations can be prevented.
