Two major European consumer representative bodies, BEUC and ANEC, have welcomed the European Commission’s (EC) proposal for an updated consumer product safety regulation but call for additional controls on online marketplaces and the establishment of a pan-European system for accident and injury data collection coordinated by the EC.
