In November 2006 the Alliance published its Child Safety Product Guide. In addition, the Alliance is currently preparing product safety information and a European Home Safety Report, which will be disseminated across Europe.
On 28 February, 2008, a draft Commission Decision was endorsed by EU Member States represented in the General Product Safety Directive (GPSD) Committee, requiring that magnetic toys placed or made available on the market, display a warning about the health and safety risks they pose.
April 2008, the EU and the United States have agreed to work closely to persuade Chinese toys-makers to improve the safety of their Chinese toys.
