The EuroSafe programme aims to develop an one-stop shop for all relevant statistical information about injuries, their causes and consequences. It has four components:
1. Current IDB: The development of a publicly accessible database with data on non-fatal home, leisure and sports injuries, collected already since many years under different EU programmes. Read more.
2. New IDB: The enhancement of this system into a unique information source for the external causes of all injuries, also due to violence, and the support of Member States when implementing such a primary register for injury prevention. It is the goal, that all EU Member States should have such information available at national level, and provide their data to the Community Injury Data Base. Read more.
3. Comprehensive Information System: The linkage of this system with other well established registers, e.g. on fatalities, road accidents and work place accidents; and the routine provision of injury related health indicators to the EU health reporting system. Read more.
4. Injury Data Clearinghouse: The provision of services in order to assist stakeholders with queries in this complex field. Read more.
