Module 1: Injury Data Report, Guide book and Inventory on Good and Promising Practices on EU and national level to prevent injuries to Vulnerable Road Users and Falls in Pedestrians.

This module developed a comprehensive view of road injuries and identified priority areas targeting vulnerable road users including falls in pedestrians, resulting in three reports: injury data report, a guide book and inventory on good and promising practices on EU and national level as well as an evaluation report on implemented school travel plans in primary schools in Vienna.

The data report comprises police data coming from IRTAD and CARE and hospital accidents and emergency data from the EU Injury Database and the Hospital Discharge Database established under the auspices of the Apollo project, as well as national sources and injury indicators for the EU and national level.

A national intervention targeting child pedestrians in Austria (school travel plans in primary schools) have been described and evaluated.

The guide book and inventory on good and promising practices will focus on activities and good practices for policy makers at the European and national level with policy recommendations.
