Work package 4 covers the development and assessment of strategic materials for implementation of recommendations for preventing falls among elderly people in the EU.
Aim
Modules
Module 1
This module concerns the classification of best practices in terms of resources needed and target population:
Estimates of prevalence of risk factor exposure for falls in the elderly in different European countries.
Collection of information on availability of resources requested for implementation, legislative aspects and already implemented interventions in various European countries.
Module 2
This module concerns the collection of original data on awareness on risks of falling and barriers to implementation of interventions.
Module 3
Development of strategic resource materials to implement interventions to prevent falls among the elderly.
Deliverables
Report summarizing the research on the feasibility study addressing implementation of large scale interventions for preventing falls in the elderly. -
Materials on strategic resources for dissemination of the prevention of falls among the elderly.
Report on the assessment of the feasibility of large scale interventions in selected EU countries.
