The purpose of this document, 'How to make Europe a safer place: Key areas for consideration in implementing the Council Recommendation on the prevention of injury and the promotion of safety', is to help Member States, in particular the Ministries of Health and related public health agencies and networks, implement the Council Recommendation on the prevention of injury and the promotion of safety.
It encourages Member States and European and national stakeholders to consider addressing injury issues in areas where the public health sector can provide a complementary contribution to existing policies and actions.
