Several projects under the Public Health Programme (PHP) 2003, 2005 and 2006 were established to address the objectives mentioned. The immediate focus of the current IDB projects are:
- To extend the data collection to include road transport, workplace and violence (Data on “all injuries”)
- To gain more information on products and services;
- To involve new Member States in injury surveillance (more info)
- To develop a user-friendly interface to facilitate easy public access (more info); and
- To develop statistical procedures for the estimation of population-based injury rates. (more info)
- To develop a strategy for EU-injury data exchange for 2010-2015( more info)
