EuroSafe aims to create synergy and consistency in policies, programmes and infrastructures throughout Europe and to empower key stakeholders to ensure the highest reasonably attainable level of safety within the realm of their responsibilities.
EuroSafe wants to promote:
- Better policies: To enhance the profile of injury prevention and safety promotion and to mainstream the issue of injury prevention in a coherent manner within European policy agenda’s and programmes.
- Focused actions on injury priorities in Europe: To establish purpose driven networks that move the networks’ knowledge into policy action and ensure ongoing development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation efforts with regards to the respective priority areas.
- Sharing of resources: To organise sharing of state of art intelligence in injury data and in the collection of evidence based practices in prevention and to develop partnerships for information exchange.
- Sustainability: To maintain and enhance the EuroSafe organisation in its leadership role in injury prevention in Europe and to be an effective and efficient operation on mid and long term.
EuroSafe connects policy with research and practice, and visa versa. EuroSafe builds on two decades of successful advocating and campaigning for more effective consumer safety policies and product safety enforcement structures in countries.
EuroSafe brings together all the diverse injury areas and related stakeholders. It profiles the overall burden of injury and the challenges of mainstreaming injury prevention within relevant national and European policies and prevention programmes.
